Adopt a Calico (short coat)

Calico (short coat) Cat

IRMA the Cat needs a home

Greetings!  I'm IRMA (DOB ~05/23/2016), a female calico domestic shorthair.  And, yes, I was named after Hurricane Irma - to remind folks of the journey I've been on recently to find my new home!  I originally spent time in Jacksonville Animal Care and Protective Services, was then transferred to Best Friends Animal Society in Atlanta when ferocious Hurricane Irma made her presence known, and then was transferred to Fancy Feline Rescue of the South to help make way for all of those animals displaced by the hurricane. I am not fond of being confined, but I am a sweet and social young lady. I probably would do best in a home without small children (I can be a little "nippy" when you're ignoring me and I want your attention), but I don't mind being around other cats. I enjoy being around my humans and would do very well in a home where my new owners work from home or are retired. I love my treats and don't mind asking for them - so be prepared!  If you will give me the opportunity, I promise to provide you with years of love, loyalty and companionship! I am spayed, up-to-date with vaccines, negative for Feline FIV/FeLV, dewormed, microchipped, and will be eligible to receive a 30-day free trial of pet health insurance.  My adoption fee is $125.00.
